DIY: FLAMINGO T-SHIRT

IMG_3013

It had been a long time since we showed you a DIY, so today is the day. This is definitely the most hard DIY that I had done, I feel very proud of myself hehe. Although at first I thought maybe the result would be a "disaster" I really believe that it's great. You don't need a lot of materials but you need a lot of time and patience ;)

bv

What we need
- A basic shirt (I bought mine here).
- Sequins (preferably sequin strands to sew easier and faster). I used 6 meters of pink, 3 meters of silver and 2 meters of black.
- Thread (I chose the same colors of sequins).
- Scissors.
- Needle.
- A design of the picture that you want to do.
- A brilliant (for the eye).

- Although you can sew on the shirt I recommend sewing on a tulle fabric, it's easier.

The first thing I sewed was a silhouette (except beak) and then the head and the neck. Finally I sewed the beak (first the silver part and then the black part).
To finish I cut the flamingo leaving about 2 centimeters of border and sewed it to the shirt (that you can't see the tulle fabric after sewing).

And this is the result. What do you think? I am doing another similar but  with different pattern for Sara. As soon as I finish it, I will show you too :) And if you do this DIY (or another similar) not hesitate to tell us, we'd like to see them! Happy Thursday.

Feliz jueves.
